Anna Mae Thompson, 88, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 12, 1931 in Waterford, Ohio to the late Florence J. and Margaret Tullius Arnold. She worked for many years at Reed’s Dairy Queen in Malta. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #4713 Ladies Auxiliary in Malta and a 65-year member of the American Legion Post #24 Ladies Auxiliary in McConnelsville. She is survived by a son, Jay (Linda) Conn of McConnelsville, 3 daughters, Patricia Ann Welch of Columbus, Sandra Sue Conn of Columbus and Terri (Mark) Caldwell of McConnelsville, a brother, Paul (Connie) Arnold of Waterford, 3 grandchildren, Amy Strawser, Brandi Engle and Zachariah Treadway and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1st. husband, Hugh E. Conn and 2nd. Husband, Robert W. Thompson. Services will be held on Weds, Dec. 4, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the McConnelsville Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Tues, Dec. 3, 2019 from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the M&M Vol. Fire Dept.
