Alein J. Bywater 82, of McConnelsville, passed away at  4:28 a.m. March 14, 2023 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville. She was born March 3, 1941 in Hickory, North Carolina the daughter of the late, Corda Brown Pugh and Floyd  J. Pugh. She attended the Morgan Baptist Church and loved her cats and her dog.She is survived by her children, Clarence W. Bywater of Malta, Mary Weyant of Pennsville, Carolyn Anderson of McConnelsville, Margaret Bywater of Malta, James Bywater of McConnelsville; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Bickley of Malta, and Evelene Schwab of Malta. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bywater;  sisters, Barbara Bywater, and Kathleen Schwab; brothers, Calvin, Alvin and Melvin Pugh. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where friends may call 2 hours prior to the service.
