Alfreda J. Rowland, 89, of Fleming, passed away on Sun, Sept. 25, 2022 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Marietta.  She was born on Jan. 26, 1933 in Fleming, Oho to the late Frank and Lenore Flowers Smith.  She was a 1950 graduate of Vincent High School and was a member of the Bartlett Bible Baptist Church.  She became a full time homemaker after the birth of her sons and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.  She is survived by her sons, Timothy of Fleming and Kevin (Lisa) of Bellaire, a sister, Adeline Anderson of Fleming, 6 grandchildren, Addison (Taylor) Rowland, Amanda (Wes) Gilliland, Nikki (Tyler) Hearn, Benjamin (Ruth) Rowland, Rachel (Daniel) Fenske and Rebekah (James) Dluzen, 13 great grandchildren, Bristol and Morgan Rowland, John, Becca, Colten and Grant Gilliland, Alaina, Riley, Titus and Layla Hearn and Marshall, Henry and Oliver Rowland and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Verl Rowland, 2 brothers, Donald and Dwight Smith and 2 sisters, Dorothy Billman and Ruth Trotter.  A caring cremation is taking place at her request.  Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Barlow Vol. Fire Dept.
