Allen Ray Ross 77, of 1301 Main Street Malta passed away at 10:09 P.M. June 8, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 1, 1934 in Morgan County to the late Dow Ross and Ethel Kille Ross. He formerly worked at Essex Wire in Zanesville and worked on the family farm till he retired to Malta. He was a giving, caring person and a friend to many and never met a stranger. His favorite thing in life was a home cooked meal by his sister, gardening and his pets. He is survived by brothers Keith Ross of Erie, Pa. and Tommy Ross of McConnelsville, one sister Jessie (Melvin) Hickerson of Malta and 5 nephews and 3 nieces and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his brother James Gail Ross and a nephew Keith Kille Ross. At his request no services or visitation will be observed and a caring cremation will take place. Burial will be in the Malta Cemetery at a later date.
