Amanda J. Tompkins Welsh, 41, of Malta, passed away on Thurs, Sept. 26, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on Feb. 13, 1983 in Zanesville, Ohio to William and Roberta Apperson Tompkins.  She received her Master's in Education from Ohio University and taught for several years at the South Elementary School in Morgan County.  She was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville.  She is survived by her father and step-mother, Bill and Linda Tompkins of McConnelsville, the father of her children, Roger Welsh of McConnelsville, 2 sons, Coleman and Greyden Welsh of the home, 2 daughters, Grayson and Campbell Welsh of the home, 2 brothers, Ryder Hodge of McConnelsville and Cary Hodge of Marietta, a step-brother, Matt (Jocelyn) Woodrum of Kansas, 3 sisters, Amber Wilson of Malta, Aleena (Shane) Nichols of Malta and Kelley (Mike) Robertson of Florida and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She is preceded in death by her mother, 2 sisters, Jill Yarnall and Melissa Kelley, maternal grandparents, Carl and Beulah Apperson and her paternal grandparents, Bob and Margaret Tompkins.  Services will be held on Mon, Sept. 30, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the Main Street Church of Christ with burial following in the McConnelsville Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M. on the day of the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
