Obituary

Anetta Irene Cobb, 68, of Columbus passed away at 4:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at the Kobacker House in Columbus.

She was born June 16, 1943, in West Virginia to the late Hugh and Ruby Day Fleming.

She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife, mother, and sister. She will be truly and deeply missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Daphne Lynn Mowery of Belle Valley and Cathy Muhammad of Columbus; a son, Virgil Leroy Cobb II of Columbus; a grandson, Brandon Cobb; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four brothers, George (Judy) Fleming of Malta, Randy (Connie) Fleming of Ostrander, Norman (Dawn) Fleming of Mt. Gilead, and Johnson (Charlene) Fleming of McConnelsville; three sisters-in-law, Sandy Fleming of Mt. Perry, Bonnie Fleming of Glouster, and Mary Fleming of McConnelsville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Leroy Cobb; three brothers, Larry, Rodney, and James Fleming; and a granddaughter, Tea Muhammad.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, with Evang. Vernon Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in Deerfield Cemetery.
