Arlis A. Mayle, age 81, Columbus, Ohio, formerly of the Chesterhill area, died at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Doctors Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 21, 1935, a son of the late William and Faye Mayle, in Athens, Ohio. A retired Construction Worker/Roller Operator, he was a member of the Apostolic Light House in Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Wanda Mayle of the home; 3 daughters: Debra (Ronald) Kidd of Columbus, Victoria (Matthew) Collier of Reynoldsburg, and Samantha (Brian) Zirkle of Columbus; 2 brothers: Luther Mayle of Columbus, and Roger Mayle of Malta; 1 sister: Patricia Miller of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded by 2 sons: Wendell and Steven, 3 daughters: Tracey, Nita Kay, and Freda May; 4 brothers and 1 sister. Services will be held at the Mt. Hermon Church on Tuesday, December 27, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Ross officiating. Friends may call at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio, from 10-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday before the service. Burial will be in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
