Ashley J. Spears, 42, of Stockport, passed away after a long illness on Mon, Oct. 4, 2021 at the O'Bleness Hospital in Athens.  She was born on July 11, 1979 in Zanesville, Ohio to Dean and Tina Hooper Spears.  She is survived by her father, Dean Spears Jr. of the home, a brother, Broc (Rachel) Spears of McConnelsville, her fiancée, Grover Clawson of Pennsville, an aunt, Jo Hooper of Stockport, 2 nephews, Colby and Flint Spears and her beloved dogs, Wrigley and Peach.  She is preceded in death by her mother and a sister.  A private graveside service will be held on Thurs, Oct. 7, 2021 at the Bailey Ridge Cemetery.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SPOT C/O Susan Moody 970 E Goshen Run Road Chesterhill, Ohio 43728.
