Barbara Lou Hill Gibson, 80, of Malta, passed from this life into her eternal life on Fri, Nov. 6, 2026 at her residence. She was born on June 21, 1946 in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Lue J. and Earsie Norris Hill. She was a rural letter carrier for the McConnelsville U.S. Post Office and was a member of the Corner Stone South Church in McConnelsville. She loved doing her crafts, helping others and spending time with her family. She is survived by her Husband of 41 years Harold Gibson of the home, 2 sons, Dennis (Tina) Gibson of Corning and Duane (Trinity) Gibson of Glouster, a daughter, Pam Baker of Greenville, KY, a sister, Christine Smith of North Carolina, 12, grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and a great grandson Bensen Baker. Services will be held on Wed, Nov. 11, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Coroner Stone South Church in McConnelsville with burial following in the Malta Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Tues, Nov. 10 from 4-6 P.M. at the Church. Matheney Funeral home in McConnelsville is handling the arrangements.
