Barbara D. Tyson, 69, of Crooksville, passed away on Weds, May 21, 2025 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  She was born on June 13, 1955 in Zanesville to the late Charles and Donna Parker Nelson.  She is survived by her significant other, Howard McCormick of the home, daughters, Naomi Janes of Malta and Wendy Adams of Zanesville, a sister, Linda Thompson of Quaker City, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her ex-husband and friend, Marshal Whaley of McConnelsville.  She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sister, Ruth Tidd and Vickie McMannis.  Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation for the family.
