Obituary

Beatrice E. Blackburn 99, of McConnelsville passed away at 10:18 p.m. July 17, 2022 at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. She was born June 22, 1923 in Morgan County the daughter of the late, William Wilson and Ethel Brothers Wilson.  She was a member of the Pennsville Vol. Fire Dept. auxiliary  and the Pennsville Chuch of Christ, Pennsville Grange, Penn Hobby Club, Lakeside Riding Club, farm wife and helped her husband on the family farm. She loved to watch and attend all her grandchildren's sporting events. She was also an avid Ohio State Fan. She is survived by her children, Deborah (Dean) McGaughey, Daniel (Kathi) Blackburn;  grandchildren, Will (Jennifer) Johnson, Anna (Evan) Goldy, Stacy (Kevin) Hosom, Stephanie (Greg) Karnes, Dustin (Anyssa)Blackburn, Tim (Erica) Blackburn, Kristy Blackburn, Kimberly (Cory) Mautz, Kyle McGaughey, Kory McGaughey; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, William Wilson; special niece, Linda Blackburn.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bud Blackburn who died July 6, 2000; a daughter, Judith Porter; sister, Evelyn Janes. Friends may call 2 to 4 Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home where services follow at 4:00 p.m. with Dan Hickerson officiating.  She will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.
