View a Video Memorial Bernita J. Benjamin Dunn, 82 of Malta, died on Sat. August 25, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville. She was born on February 16, 1930 in Pennsville to the late Lee and Eva Carr Benjamin. She was a homemaker and worked in the Morgan County Auditors office for several years. She was a member of the Pennsville United Methodist Church where she played piano, Pennsville Mothers Club, Petal Pushers Club, Morgan County High School Band Mother, ran the band camp, the band concession stand at football games and band fair booth at the Morgan County Fair. She is survived by 1 son, Dan H (Leslie) Dunn of Pennsville, 2 daughters, Julie (Dennis) Fortney of McConnelsville and Mary (Carlos) Cain of Malta, 1 brother, John Benjamin of Zephyrhills, Florida, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles H. Dunn, 1 brother, Lee Benjamin Jr. and 2 sisters, Mary Gifford and Carol Roberts. Services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Pennsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwayne Stuttler officiating. Burial will follow in the Pennsville Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.
