CHESTERHILL: Bette Quinn Bowman, age 81, of Chesterhill, Ohio, died at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Genesis Health and Rehabilitation Center in McConnelsville. She was born on May 31, 1927, in Sharpsburg, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Ella Grimes Quinn. Bette attended the Chesterhill United Methodist Church, and was a past member of the Marion Rebekah Lodge, Fairview Grange, and La Cherie Petite Guild of OCCL. She is survived by one son, Kenny Bowman and wife, Melanie; one daughter, Carol Gage and husband, Wendell, all of Chesterhill; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Quinn and wife, Lucy, of Chesterhill. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bowman; and one son, Robert Eugene Bowman. Visiting hours will be on Monday, May 11, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Chesterhill Cemetery.
