Bettie Jane VanNess, 73, of McConnelsville, passed away on Mon., Nov. 28, 2016 at the Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born in Zanesville to the late Fay W. and Margaret J. Demster Parsons. She retired from the Markrest Center in McConnelsville where she worked in the house keeping department for over 30 years. She attended the Malta Bible Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Tracey VanNess of Stockport and Roger Paul (Kasey) VanNess of Stockport, 2 daughters, Teresa (Gary) McIntire of Buckeye Lake and Carol (Bill) Matson of Stockport, 3 brothers, Carl (Linda) Parsons of Caldwell, Ernie (Janeen) Parsons of McConnelsville and Tom (Ann) Parsons of Stockport, 1 sister, Linda (Barney) Larrick of Malta, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Lorriane Bowersock. A graveside service on Feb. 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stockport Cemetery.
