Betty J. Green, 72, of Glouster, formerly of Ft. Worth, Texas, died on Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence. She was born on July 25, 1942 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Jessie E. and Jewel Bollinger Smothers. She worked as an office manger for the Texas Refinery Co. in Ft. Worth. She is survived by her two daughters, Candice Green of Glouster and J. Hollie Oliver of Ft. Stockton, Texas, one brother, Carl Smothers of Ft. Worth, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. She is preceded in death by her parents. Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville is handling a caring cremation at her request.
