Betty I. Pierce, 80, of 561 Pine Bark Lane, McConnelsville, passed away at 5:58 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born March 11, 1932 in Morgan County, a daughter of the late Charlie Hart and Cora Minks Hart.

She was a housewife and attended the Morgan County Senior Citizens and was an avid bingo player.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Pierce, whom she married July 14, 1951; six daughters, Diana Eby of McConnelsville, Carolyn Moore of McConnelsville, Wanda (Troy) McDaniel of Malta, Pat (Tim) McCoy of Stockport, Nancy Lane (Bill Inman) of Malta, and Sara (David ) Kangas of Malta; one son, Roger (Jenny) Pierce of Malta; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Elder of Florida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters; six brothers; one grandson, Richard Parsons; and one son-in-law, Wayne Lane.

Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Malta Bible Church in Malta, where services will be held at 2:30p.m., with Pastor Mike Wells officiating.

Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
