Billy H. Hodgson, 89, of McConnelsville, passed away on Tues, Jan. 17, 2023 at the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville.  He was born on Sept 29, 1934 in Hollister, Ohio to the late Arthur and Arneda Waldeck Hodgson. He retired after 32 years from the Muskingum River Power Plant in Waterford and after retirement he spent many years working at the Bogg's Auction Barn in Stockport.  He was a member of the Morgan County Historical Society and was a loved going to Lake Erie fishing.  He also enjoyed his wood working.  He is survived by his son, Scott Hodgson of McConnelsville, a daughter, Pam Wise of Newark, a sister, Judy Barkhurst of Estero, Fl, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patricia Taylor Hodgson.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023 at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill at 1:00 P.M. with burial following in the Maplewood Cemetery near Glouster.  Friends may call on the family from 11-1 P.M. on the day of the services.   To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
