Bonnie J. Merritt 70, of McConnelsville, passed away September 9, 2021 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville. She was born October 7, 1950 in Parkersburg, W.Va. the daughter of the late, Robert Houser and Ila Vanhorn Houser. She was retired from the Ohio Dept. of Agriculture. She loved sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She was a 1968 graduate of Fort Frye High School and graduated with an associates degree from COTC. She is survived by her children, Robert (Julie) Miller of Caldwell, Angela (Clint) Shriver of Malta, Jennifer (Ben) Rose of Malta; step daughter, Jean Wolfe of Burlington, Vermont; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Lane of Vincent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Merritt Jr.; a stepson, Charlie Merritt III; and a sister, Janet Harper. Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where services will be held at 3:00 p.m.
