Bonnie Lee Schaad (Babb), age 76, of McConnellsville, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at Marietta Memorial Hospital.   Born July 13th, 1948 and adopted by the late Kermit and Ruby Babb (Turrill) in Marietta, OH.  A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, retired educator, and of Catholic faith, she spent her life devoted to her family, community and her students. As the proud mother and grandmother she was a cornerstone of her family, offering love, a listening ear, and unwavering support. Her legacy of compassion and dedication lives on through the generations she touched.  A retired schoolteacher, Bonnie spent over 20 years educating and inspiring young minds. Her passion for teaching was evident in every lesson, and her influence extended far beyond the classroom. She was a role model to countless students, and her commitment to education continued long after her retirement, as she remained an advocate for learning and personal growth.  Early in her adulthood, Bonnie's beautiful and confident voice captivated audiences as she graced the stage on WTAP, appeared on the Hee Haw Show, opened for Tammy Wynette, and performed with local bands throughout the states.  Throughout her children's lives, Bonnie was a leader in her church, bringing her God given artistic talent to lead the church choir, bible school and Christian based plays for years. Bonnie is survived by her brother Stephen Babb, her seven children, Jon Wentz (Karen), Heidi Maxwell (Claude), Ingrid Edgell (Eddie), Ryan Schaad (Jessica), Earl Schaad (Coti), Krista Eckert (Dana), Brittnany Schaad and 25 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren and the father of her children, Chris Schaad.
