Brenda K. Clarke, 56, of Malta, passed away on Sat, Dec. 12, 2020 at her residence.  She was born on Feb. 6, 1964 in Zanesville to the late Carolyn Giffin.  She worked as a nurses aide at the Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville.  She is survived by her husband, Mickey Clarke of the home, a son, Joey Reed of Nelsonville, a daughter, Jennie Reed McGrew of Stockport, 4 step-sons, Mickey Clarke of Malta, Rex Clarke of Lancaster, Beau Clark of New Lexington and Matthew Clarke of New Lexington, 1 step-daughter, Jolena Dennis of Chesterhill, 2 half-sisters, Tina Derenburger of Nelsonville, Shelia McClellan and 21 grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her mother Carolyn Giffin, her step-dad, Richard Derenburger and a half-brother, Kenney McClellan.  Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.mathenyfh.com.
