Bruce J. Torbert, 60, of Bidwell, Oh, formerly of McConnelsville, passed away on Sun, Sept. 10, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on April 20, 1963 in Zanesville, Oh to the late James and Helen Herwick Torbert.  He loved puzzles, word finds, music and especially his newspapers.  He is survived by his step-mother, Wanda (Bill) Maghes of McConnelsville, 2 brothers, Danny Torbert of Zanesville and Donnie Torbert of McConnelsville and a sister, Jacqueline (Doug) Bolyard of Corning.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Torbert.  A visitation will be held from 12-1:00 P.M. on Thurs, Sept. 14, 2023 at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with a graveside service following in the Pisgah Ridge Cemetery.  To send a note of condolence to the family go to www.matheneyfh.com.
