Byron "Barnie" Howard, 74, of Chesterhill, passed away Wed. Nov 5, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 26, 1951 to Carl and Betty Smith Howard in Parkersburg, WV. He served in the Army and was a truck driver with Ratta Trucking for the last 8 years. He is survived by his mother, Betty Howard of Wooster; significant other, Sheila Woodyard of the home; step-sons, Travis (Jen) Woodyard of Texas and Troy (Lindsey) Woodyard of Lancaster; brother, John "JD" Howard of Wooster; sister, Peggy Snyder of Mt. Vernon; step-grandchildren, Gracie, Mackenzie, Hannah, Aiden, Caleb, Rowyn, Reese, and Graydon; niece, Hannah; nephew, Tray; grand dog, Bella; and several trucking and other friends. He is preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Art Snyder. A visitation will be held Sat. Nov. 22, 2025 from 11 A.M.-1 P.M. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill.
