Carl Bud McCune, 82 of Duncan Falls, formerly of Malta, died on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at the Riverside Landing Nursing Home in McConnelsville. He was born on Oct. 1, 1931 in Belle Valley, Ohio to the late Elmer and Mary Carpenter McCune. He was an operator for Ferro Alloy in Philo and raised Angus Cattle on his farm as well as serving as a Malta Township Trustee. He was a member of the Philo United Methodist Church, Old Gas and Steam Tractor Club and for over 48 years he loved to pull Allis Chalmer Tractors. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Charlotte Paisley McCune whom he married on Nov. 23, 1950. One son, Duane (April) McCune of Malta, two daughters, Barb (Eric) Dew of Hackney and Amy Driggs and Fiancée Larry Radcliffe of Duncan Falls, two sisters, Geraldine Rapp of Columbus and Lucille Shook of Duncan Falls, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Maxine Spillman and Donna Dingey. Services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Burial will follow in the Ark Springs Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Monday, Sept. 15, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
