Carl A. Niceswanger, 82, of McConnelsville passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 10:05 a.m. at the Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.

He was born December 14, 1932 in Morgan County to the late Delmar Niceswanger and Lucy Mae Miller Niceswanger. Carl was construction worker and farmer and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the F.O.E. Beverly Club, member of the Morgan County Moose Lodge, member of the V.F.W. Post #4713 of Malta and was also a member of the Lakeside Riding Club. Carl was a avid coon hunter and raced quarter horses for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ruth Woodward Niceswanger; a daughter, Darla Niceswanger of McConnelsville; two grandsons, Jeremy Kidd of McConnelsville and Jerrod (Brenda) Kidd of Stockport; three great grandchildren, Shaylee Kidd, Dakota Clay, and Colton Kidd; three sisters, Norma Stewart of Chillicothe, Mary Bodie of Milton, FL and Shelby Garrett of Malta; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Mae Clifton and four brothers, Walter, John,Jerry and Joe Niceswanger.
