Carmelita Scott, 73, of Duncan Falls, passed away at 4:00 a.m. January 1, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born April 19, 1940 the daughter of the late C.R. Bill Janes and Aliene Lattimer Janes. She was a housewife and a member of Pennsville Church of Christ in Pennsville.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Scott whom she married December 8, 1957; daughter, Carla (Randy) McConnell of Corning; son, Chris (Carol) Scott of McConnelsville; grandchildren, Chase (Kaleigh) Temple, Denise (Mark) Mizer, Chavez and Chaz; three great grandchildren, Hunter Temple, Kizleich Temple and Kaci Mizer.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the funeral home with Evangelists Randy Baker and Daryl Hurst officiating. She will be laid to rest in Pennsville Cemetery.
