Carol L. Jewell 62, of McConnelsville, passed away September 6, 2021 at her home. She was born September 17, 1958 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late, Joseph Altier and Barbara Rodgers Altier. She was a 1976 Graduate of Morgan High School and a fitness trainer. She is survived by her children, Lee (Amanda) Jewell of Bellefontaine, Shanna Jewell of Parkersburg, W.Va, six grandchildren; sisters, Regina Hankinson, Cathy Hopkins, Rita Lawrence, Barbara Hambel, Patricia Strode, and Karen Brown.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry L. Jewell who died July 25, 2020; daughter, Shawna Jewell Eby; sisters, Annette Kittle and Gertrude Seyerle; brothers, Phil Altier and Joe Altier. Friends may call 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the St. James Catholic Church in McConnelsville with Father Tim Kozak celebrant. She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery by her husband. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
