Carole D. DeVaughn 83, of Beverly, passed away at 11:18 a.m. August 8, 2018, at Marietta Memorial Hospital  in Marietta. She was born May 6, 1935 in Indiana County, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Ray McConnell and Dora Rietz McConnell. She was a member of the McConnelsville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. She is survived by her husband, Clarence DeVaughn;  sons, Kirk and Chad DeVaughn of Beverly; sisters, Jane Schultz, Donna Black and Mona McMeans; brothers,  Larry, Alan and Robert McConnell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Whitacre and a brother, Bill McConnell; and an infant sister. At her request, a cremation will take place and a Memorial service will be held at a later date at the Kingdom Hall in McConnelsville. Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is entrusted with arrangements.
