Carolyn R. Matheney, 85, of McConnelsville, passed away on Fri, Jan. 9, 2026 at her residence.  She was born on Dec. 20, 1940 in McConnelsville to the late Elwood and Ella Connell George.  She is survived by 3 sons, Austin Kidd, Shawn Kidd and Billy Joe Matheney all of McConnelsville, 2 daughters, Pamela (Tom) Zumbro of Rockbridge and Tamara Sue Johnson of Malta, 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband William Matheney and 7 brothers and sisters.  Services will be held on Tues, Jan. 13, 2026 at 12:00 Noon at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Malta Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 10-12 on the day of the services.
