Carolyn J. Fox, 90, of McConnelsville passed away July 8, 2026 at the Riverside Landing Nursing & Rehab in McConnelsville. She was born September 8, 1935 in Morgan County a daughter of the late Richard McClure and Margaret Bay. Carolyn was retired from the Dept. of Agriculture where she had worked as a secretary. She was a longtime and oldest member of the Malta Methodist Church where she belonged to the United Methodist Women and  Ruth's Circle. She was a former member of the Lakeside Riding Club and  was a member of the Southern Ohio Emmaus Community. Carolyn enjoyed cooking and having family and friends in for dinner. She also liked gardening and transporting her friends wherever they needed to go.  She loved to travel, play cards with her friends and organized dinners at the church for many years. She is survived by two sons, Charles Fox of Stockport and Richard (Brenda) Fox of McConnelsville, a daughter, Vicki Quessenberry of Tucson Az., 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Donna Curry of West Jefferson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Galen Fox, three sisters, Betty Wittekend, Louise Pritchard, Martha Jackson and two great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 12, 2026 from 5-8 p.m., at the Malta Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1 p.m., at the church with Pastors Erik Ostrow and Tom Gaiser officiating. Carolyn will be laid to rest beside her husband in Malta Cemetery. Miller-Huck Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post  #24 or to the Malta Methodist Church.
