Obituary

Cecil H. Roach, 76, Valley City, OH, passed away on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, in Medina. He passed peacefully, surrounded by family and friends sharing stories of his life.

He was born on June 29, 1938, in Charmco, WV.

Through hard work and a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he and his brother, Ray, built a successful family business, Eaton Fabricating Co. Inc., which is still thriving. He also owned the River Queen Tavern and Restaurant in Malta, as well as other businesses throughout his life. He never knew a stranger, loved deeply, and lived life to its fullest. He was a 20-year resident of Malta.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Walton-Roach; his daughters, Debbie Roach, Vicki Roach Sofranko, Janice McCamon, and Lisa Dippel; sons, Harold "Bub" Roach and Ronnie McCamon; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Wanda Scott, Dreama Osborne, Velma Lowe, Twila "Tike" Bruster; brothers, Paul, Lacy, Earl, Ray, and Bobby.

* He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Roach; mother, Edna Harvey Roach; brothers, Carl and Charles Roach; son, Cecil L. "Tater-bug" Roach; and his first wife, Illene.

Calling hours will be from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

Cecil will be laid to rest at Malta Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M-M Volunteer Fire Department, located at 77 S. 4th Street, McConnelsville, OH 43756.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eagles, located in McConnelsville, following the services.
