Charlene Verna Fisher, 65, of McConnelsville, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at 4:24p.m. at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born May 23, 1944 in Waterford to the late Floyd L. and Lena M. Quimby Fisher and worked at the Mark Rest Center in the housekeeping department. She is survived by one son, Chris and Cindy Fisher of McConnelsville, four brothers, Junior Fisher of Powhatten Point, Rodney Fisher of Newark, Raymond Fisher of Malta, and Robert Fisher of McConnelsville, three sisters, Donna Powell of Belpre, Ruth Buechner of Columbus, and Maxine Rounds of Beverly, one grandson Nathan T. Fisher and one granddaughter, Tiffany L. Compton. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Lou Buechner, and Marty Smith, and two brothers, Dale Quimby and Charles Fisher. Services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 1:00p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Rev. Galen Finley officiating. Burial will follow in the McConnelsville Cemetery.
