She was born on December 6, 1944 in Malta, Ohio to the late Oran W. and Marjorie Gheen Spencer. She retired from the Mark Rest Center Nursing Home in McConnelsville. She was a member of the Malta United Methodist Church and loved rescuing dogs and cats. She is survived by her husband, Larry Zumbro of the home, 1 son, Michael Elliott of McConnelsville, 1 daughter, Melissa Wogan of Chesterhill, 1 step-son, Michael Zumbro of Mansfield, 1 step-daughter, Tawnya S. Tidd of Cardington, 3 brothers. Ronald Spencer of Belpre, Larry Spencer of McConnelsville and Roger Spencer of Stockport, 1 sister, Donna Work, Brother-in-law Kevin (Marilyn) Zumbro of Stockport and 7 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 granddaughter. Services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Malta United Methodist Church with Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Dale Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Sunday, December 14, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville and 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
