Charles Allen Cooper, 79, of Chesterhill, Ohio, died February 1, 2010 at 2:45p.m. at the Saint Frances Hospital in Charleston West Virginia. He was born on July 19, 1930 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Frank and Catherine Packer Cooper. Charles received his bachelor's degree from Capital University, his Masters from The Ohio State University and his doctorate from Akron University. He retired from the Marion and Homer Union Elementary Schools where he was a School Administrator. He was a life member of Masonic Lodge # 0086 in Johnstown. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Ramsey Cooper of the Home, one son Gregory Charles Cooper of Lancaster, one daughter, Kathie (Dave) Hamann of Batavia, one step-son, Gregory Charles (Robin) Shope of Milford, three step-daughters, Greta (John) Dupue of Portsmouth, Alison (Bart) Thorton of Roanoke Va., and Beverly (Robbie) Stringer of Wheelersburg, fifteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Matthew Cooper and a brother, Robert Cooper. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 with memorial services following at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, Ohio.
