Charles P. Kennedy, Age 60, of Chesterhill, Ohio, passed away at 11:06 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Nelsonville,Ohio on June 6, 1953, a son of the late Denver and Elizabeth Mayle Kennedy. Charles was a laborer, working in the construction and manufacturing business. He was an avid country music fan and enjoyed playing his guitar for all who would listen at any time of the day or night. He was a Protestant by faith. Surviving to mourn their loss are his wife, Anna Erwin Kennedy of the home; 1 son: Charles P. Kennedy Jr. and wife Esther, 6 daughters: Beth Mayle and husband Jamie, Nichol Kennedy and husband Bill, Dee Mayle and husband Ronnie, all of Chesterhill, Tresa Kennedy and Amanda Kennedy both of Stockport, and Candy Kennedy, also of Chesterhill; 6 brothers, 5 sisters, 17 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 6, at 1:00 p.m. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m..
