Charles A. Miller, 79, of 4060 Baughman Run Road, Zanesville, passed away at 8:20 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

He was born June 14, 1932 in Akron, the son of the late Charles and Mary Monk Miller.

He was a farmer, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and attended the Pisgah United Methodist Church near Ringgold.

He is survived by his widow, Susan Sayers Miller; children, Debbie (Gary) Valentine of Malta, Lucille Hupp of Marietta, Lorne Miller of Crooksville, Janice (Denny) Walker of Michigan, Pam (John) Wells of McConnelsville, Lorna (Jan) Van Ostrand of Virginia, and James (Jennifer) Miller of Philo; two step-sons, Martin A. Gamble and Michael Gamble, both of Zanesville; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gwen Franks Miller; one granddaughter, Katrina Miller; one grandson, Nicholas Thompson; one step-son, Matthew Gamble; and two sisters, May Accordo and Katheryn Robinson.

There will be no calling hours or services. A cremation has taken place.

Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville is in charge of arrangements.
