Charles H. Taylor, 84 of Marietta, formerly of Columbus, passed away Friday November 13, 2009 at his home in Marietta.

He was born January 23, 1925 in Morgan County to the late Lawrence Taylor and Glaydas Barnhouse Taylor. Charles was retired from Columbia Gas of Columbus and was a Baptist by faith. He was a member of the Avery Lodge #493 F. & A.M. of Hillard.

He is survived by a daughter, Jill (Bill) Stinson of Hillard; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; a special friend, Edith Wilson of Marietta; two sisters, Faryl Taylor of Reynoldsburg, and Hope Downing of McConnelsville; four brothers, Donald Taylor of McConnelsville, James Taylor of Malta, Andrew Taylor of Zanesville, and Roy Taylor of McConnelsville.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Parker; two sisters, Rena Craft and Helen Boyd; a brother, Lawrence Taylor, Jr.

Calling hours will be Wednesday November 18, 2009 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the MILLER-HUCK FUNERAL HOME in Mcconnelsville. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Malta Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
