Charlotte A. Shockley, 68, of Stockport, died, on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at 6:45 P.M. at the Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born in Zanesville on January 6, 1943 to the late John L. and Ethel A. Lacey Smythe. She was a housewife, a loving mother to her children and grandchildren and attended the Mt. Olivet Community Church. She is survived by her husband Richard Shockley of the home, two sons, Bryant L. Shockley and Richard D. Shockley II both of Stockport, one daughter, Rebecca A. Niceswanger of Stockport, one foster son, Terry L. Rognon and his children of Frazeysburg, six grandchildren, John Cody, Richard Cole, and Tricia Alexis Shockley, Lucas, and Savannah Niceswanger, and Coy Patterson, and one special daughter-in-law, Joy Shockley. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother John "Junior" Smythe. Services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with Pastor Jamie White officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt Olivet Community Cemetery near Stockport. Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
