Cheryl Ann Sands, 67, of McConnelsville, passed away at 5:44 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at her home, with her family at her side.

She was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Morgan County.

Cheryl was a homemaker and was a member of the Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville. She was an avid sewer and enjoyed spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, of 48 and one-half years, John Roger Sands; two daughters, Shannon (Harold) Webb, of McConnelsville and Dawn (Steve) Pinkham, of IN; two sons, Christopher John (Christina) Sands, of Zanesville and Darrin Trent (Angela) Sands, of Milton, WV; her mother, Mary Johnson Ray, of McConnelsville; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Ray; and three brothers, Dee, John, and Tracey Ray.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, with evangelist Sam Bartrug officiating.

She will be laid to rest in McConnelsville Cemetery.
