Clarence William (Bill) Waite, 80 of Stockport lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born August 10, 1929 in Dale to the late Jerry and Geraldine Yarnell Waite. He was a lifetime farmer and loved to hunt, fish, ride his 4 wheeler and play with his dogs. He is survived by four sons, Billy and Wendy Waite, Sam and Marilyn Waite, Joe and Darla Waite and Steve and Lisa Waite all of Stockport, one daughter, Sharon and Larry Hinton of Waterford, two sisters, Evelyn Mitchell, and Shirley and Hubert Hartleben both of Stockport, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alice F. Perry Waite (March 4, 2002) whom he married January 15, 1952, one brother, Tommy Waite and one sister Elaine Welch. Services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 11:00a.m. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with the burial following at Liberty Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 4-8p.m. at the funeral home.
