Clifford F. Azbell, 80, of the Riverside Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation, formerly of Greer Road, McConnelsville, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Monday, February 11, 2013 at the nursing home.

He was born April 25, 1932 in Lancaster to the late Joe Azbell and Hazel Wolfinger Azbell.

Clifford was a retired heavy equipment operator and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Holly Elkins of McConnelsville and Molly Azbell of Lancaster; five sons, Eric Azbell of Columbus, Alex Azbell of Zanesville, Bart Azbell of McConnelsville, Dustin (Jennifer) Azbell of Malta, and Jon (Heidi) Azbell of McConnelsville; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Azbell; and a son, Gregory Azbell.

Calling hours will be Thursday, Feb. 14, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Rural Dale Cemetery, with military honors provided by the American Legion Post No. 24 Color Guard.
