Obituary

Curtis E. Rainer, 74, of Stockport, died on Weds. April 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born on July 25, 1940 in Stockport to the late Gerald and Avis Sheets Rainer. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 12 years during the Vietnam War. He worked for Ace Truck Body in Grove City for over 20 years where he was the shop foreman, welder, fabricator and mechanic. He was a member of the Stockport Church of Christ, Grove City Cruisers Car Club and was an avid car enthusiast. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne McClaskey Rainer of the home, 2 sons, Rick Rainer of Marietta and Tony Rainer of Morgan Town, W.Va., 2 daughters, Barb Aber of Zanesville and Annette Hall of Astonia, 2 step-sons he considered his own, Kenneth Knight of Richfield, N.C. and David Knight of Kannapolis, N.C., 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a step-son, James D. Knight and a sister, Myrta Rainer. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Stockport Church of Christ with Evang. Rex McDonald officiating. Friends may call on the family from 12-2 P.M. at the church on the day of the services. Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill is handling the arrangements.
