Dale "Johnny" L. Rowland, 77, of McConnelsville, passed away on Fri, July 1, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on Aug. 7, 1944 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Dale Rowland and Phyllis Yarnell.  He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy and retired from the Highland Oaks Nursing Home in McConnelsville after more than 50 years of service.  He enjoyed watching all sports and loved watching his nieces and nephews play for the Morgan Raiders.  He is survived by his wife of 43 years Anna Hook Rowland of McConnelsville, a son, Roger (Becky) Rowland of Zanesville, a brother, Walter Kenny Rowland of Pennsylvania, a half-brother, Roy Phyllis of Marietta, a grandson, Austin Rowland of Zanesville, brother-in-law, Andy (Mandy) Hook of McConnelsville, sister-in-law, Karen (Jeff) Moody of McConnelsville and his father-in-law, Andy Hook of McConnelsville.  He is preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law, Florence Hook.  Services will be held on Weds, July 6, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Lebanon Cemetery near Reinersville.  Friends may call on the family on Tues, July 5 from 2-7 P.M.
