Dale F. Taylor, 87, of Chesterhill, passed away Sun. April 26, 2026, at Highland Oaks in McConnelsville. He was born Mar. 11, 1939, to the late Stanley and Ada Shell Taylor in Columbus, OH. He loved farming and hauling produce for the Amish. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator/Instructor at Performance Site Management for many years. He is survived by 2 sons, Jerry (DaNielle) Taylor of Zanesville and Joe (Cozra) Taylor of Port Orange, FL; 2 daughters, Jill Gillespie (Mike Mayle) of Chesterhill and Jean (Curt) Dille of Stockport, 11 grandchildren, Curtis "Buster" (Jenny) Dille of Stockport, Jeff Dille of Stockport, Tammy (Glen) Besser of Zanesville, Amy (Trent) Junn of Stockport, Christopher Dille of Stockport, Eric (Mallory) Taylor of Zanesville, Sheldon (Courtney) Gillespie of Malta, Joanna (Scott) Dille of Stockport, Adam (LaDonna) Taylor of Kentucky, Shane (Audrey) Taylor of Kentucky, and Sheridan (Jenna) Gillespie of Malta; 26 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Taylor; son, James “Jim” Taylor; and great-grandson, Colton Dille. Funeral Service will be Thurs. April 30, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill, burial following at Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family Wed. April 29, 2026, from 5-7 at the funeral home. Meal and fellowship will follow the funeral at the Chesterhill Gym.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
