Obituary

Dale W. Van Gundy, 81, of Stockport, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at his home.

He was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Fairborn, OH, to the late George and Florence Van Gundy.

Mr. Van Gundy was retired from General Motors where had worked as a tool and die maker for 24 years. He was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Pauline Clutter Van Gundy; three daughters, Marsha Watson of Delaware, OH, Pamela Robison of Riverton, UT, and Catherine Van Gundy of Ohio; two step-sons, Jeff McCourt of Martins Ferry and Wesley McCourt of Stockport; four step-daughters, Janet McCourt of Cambridge, Sandra Galloway of Sylvania, Betty McCourt of Morristown, and Vicky of Gauley Bridge, WV; a daughter-in-law, Judy Gallegher of Newark; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Van Gundy; a son, Michael David Van Gundy; two brothers, Donald and Tryon Van Gundy; and a sister, Helen Van Gundy.

Calling hours will be Monday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at Fairview Memorial Park in Delaware, OH.
