Dana A. Ledford, 73 of Malta, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 surrounded by his family at his residence. He was born on Aug. 25, 1945 in Marietta, Ohio to the late Thomas and Auverne Porter Ledford. He worked as a self-employed Timber Cutter. He was a member of the Beverly Eagles #3665 and spent over 50 years playing the Steel Guitar in bands with his friends and traveling all over the country. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hensley Ledford of the home, 3 sons, Garry Ledford of Bernardsville, NC, Nick Ledford of Belpre and Troy Ledford of Malta, a daughter, Shana Barker of Bennington, IN, a step-son, Chad Gee of Zanesville, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 from 4-6 P.M. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. There're will also be a celebration of life service on his birthday, Aug. 25, 2019 at the McConnelsville Eagles.
