Dana Warren McAtee, 84, of Cutler, Ohio, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at 1:05 a.m. in Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta Ohio. He was born July 16, 1933 in Cutler, a son of the late Pearl and Mabel Bingham McAtee. He retired after 30 years service as a crane operator for Elkem Metals in Marietta. Dana was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, enjoyed motorcycles and horses. He rode his Arabian horses in 50 mile endurance races and many trail rides. He loved camping with his friends. Dana is survived by his wife Lois Wigal McAtee, whom he married on February 9, 1958; a daughter, Tamara Dawn (Dave) MacInnis of Waterford, Ontario, Canada; 1 brother, Dick( Jeanie) McAtee of Veto, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Carolyn (Ruben) Richards of Cutler, Ohio Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Donald, Robert, Gerald, Dean, and Pearl Jr., and 1 sister, Alta Mae Ewers. There was a loving cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
