Daniel E. Aber 82, of Malta passed away at 8:13 a.m. November 20, 2014 at th Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville. He was born Feb. 6, 1932 in McConnelsville the son of the late Joseph Aber and Zeola Gessel Aber. He retired from United Telephone Systems after 45 years and was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Morgan County Farm Bureau. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Dickson Aber whom he married June 10, 1955; daughter Kimberly Aber of Zanesville; son Bill (Becky) Aber of Malta; three grandchildren Brandi (Mike) Offineer, Tori (Trevor) Schwartzmiller, and Josi Aber; three great grandchildren Judah and Jadah Offineer and Tilly Schwartzmiller; sisters Betty Loar of McConnelsville, Pat Smith of McConnelsville, Jennifer Lewis of Zanesville and Janet Wheeler of Alabama; one brother Donald Aber of Malta. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Mary Bellville and a brother Joe Aber. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville. Services will be held at 2:00p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Galen Finley officiating. Burial will follow in Malta Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 24 Color Guard.
