View a Video MemorialDanny Lee Starling, 62, of Chesterhill, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 11:47 A.M. He was born on April 30, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio to Francis R. and Virginia Abel Starling. He was a final inspector for Miba Bearings in McConnelsville and served his country in the U.S. Army B BTRY 7th BN 67 ARTY 3rd Division Infantry, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifle. He was active in the Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Department, and had many stockcar wins and assisted many other drivers in his later years. He also was an avid hunter and loved to turkey hunt and take pictures of the wildlife. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Lee Abel Starling of Chesterhill, one brother, Larry (Anita) Starling of Logan, four sisters, Linda (Dave) Mays of Grove City, Kathy and Betty Starling of Chesterhill, and Margie (Vern) Fierce of Glouster and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Robert R. Starling. Services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stone-Matheney Funeral Home in Chesterhill with Pastor Charles Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesterhill Cemetery. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the services.
