Darel D. Kuntz, 65, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sun, Aug. 25, 2024 at his residence.  He was born on July 30, 1959 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Walter E. and Freda M. Hall Kuntz.  He retired from the Morgan County Highway Dept. After 30 years and was a Morgan Township Trustee for over 27 years.  He was a member of the Republican Central Committee, Morgan County Planning Commission, Ohio Public Works Commission, Eagles #2187 of McConnelsville, social member of the VFW #4713 in Malta, NHRA Drag Racing Series, and loved that his birthday was the same day as his granddaughter Presley Jo.  He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cindy Work Kuntz of the home, a son, Daniel Kuntz of McConnelsville, a daughter, Kacy (Chris) Hambel of Malta, 2 brothers, Roy (Mary Lou) Anderson of New Holland and Gary (Vicki) Kuntz of McConnelsville. A sister, Carolyn (Estel) Rummer of McConnelsville and 4 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Dale Kuntz.  Services will be held on Thurs, Aug. 29, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. At the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville with burial following in the Wesley Chapel  Cemetery.  Friends may call on the family from 4-7 P.M. on Weds, Aug. 28 at the Matheney Funeral Home.  An Eagles service will follow the visitation.
