McConnelsville Darren L. Leopold, 20 of Zanesville died Sunday August. 16, 2009 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on November 7, 1988 in Marietta to Tim Leopold and Tressa Keys. He was a laborer and welder in construction work and loved being a body man and mechanic at Cubby's in White Cottage. He was a born again Christian and an avid motorcycle rider. He is survived by his father Tim and Heather Leopold of Malta, his mother Tressa (Josh Murphy) Keys of Zanesville, five brothers, Daniel Leopold of Zanesville, Logan and Cameron Meadows of Malta, Dakota and Dawson Leopold of Malta, one sister, Nikki Leopold of Zanesville, Grandparents, Charles and Bernice Mollahan of Malta, Keith and Diane McGrath of McConnelsville and Robert Maxwell of McConnelsville, several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and a special nephew Kaine. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Kenny Leopold. Services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Corner Stone South Church in McConnelsville, at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at the McConnelsville Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 19 from 3-7 p.m. at the Matheney Funeral Home in McConnelsville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family or to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
